Dubai (UNN): It was no less than epic when Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut walked the red carpet of the Cannes film Festival for the first time this year. While it was Kangana’s debut at the coveted festival, Deepika made her second consecutive appearances this year. Apart from the fact that the two Indian beauties descended on the red carpet on the same day, what was more interesting is that the two actresses chose their outfits from the same designer. Deepika wore a white sheer cape gown. Wearing her hair in cascading curls, she rounded her look with silver earrings and a nude lip colour.

Kangana on the other hand wore a dull grey sheer embellished gown with a tiny embroidered train. She kept the makeup minimal, wore her curls up and rounded her look with no jewelry. Obviously, when the two Indian actresses walk at the red carpet on the same day on a foreign land and that too in outfits from the same designer, we had to create a poll asking you,our readers that who wore the Zuhair Murad creation better? Well, the verdict is here.

It was a close fight, but it’s Deepika, who has outdone Kangana by just two per cent.

On the work front, Deepika was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. She was supposed to start shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj’s next, which also had Irrfan Khan. However, his sudden health scare has put the film on hold. Kangana will be seen in Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi, which she is producing along with Zee Studios. She also has Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming production venture, Mental Hai Kya, which re-unites her with her Queen co-star, Rajkummar Rao.
